The Egypt Future Project for Agricultural Production provides high-quality agricultural products at reasonable prices to citizens and exports the surplus abroad, which contributes to reducing imports, saving hard currency, and achieving sustainable development goals.
In April 2017, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed to immediately begin implementing the Egypt Future Agricultural Production Project to provide high-quality agricultural products at reasonable prices to citizens and export the surplus abroad, which contributes to
Reducing imports, saving hard currency, and achieving sustainable development goals. The Future of Egypt project is located along the new Rod Al-Farag Al-Dabaa axis road, which is the road that was established within the national road project, with a length of 120 km.
And depth: 60 70 km and 30 minutes away from 6th of October City. The project was divided into 60 longitudinal roads and 35 transverse roads, divided into equal plots, each plot 1000 acres.
The project location is one of the most important strategic advantages for the availability of manpower. In addition to the ease of access to production requirements such as fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, and equipment, as well as the ease of delivering finished products to the main markets and to
Land and air export ports. Egypt’s Future Project for Agricultural Production provides about 10,000 direct job opportunities and more than 360,000 indirect job opportunities. It is expected that employment opportunities will increase during the coming seasons.
It also applies the highest standards of occupational safety and health in the work environment for the safety of workers and employees. The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation provides full support and transfers expertise to the project
The Future of Egypt Project for Agricultural Production takes advantage of groundwater reservoirs, which are 3 reservoirs (Eocene – Miocene Ocher), which are an extension of the Wadi El-Natroun area, by drilling groundwater wells, taking into account the distance.
Interconnection between wells to preserve groundwater reservoirs, prevent excessive withdrawal from them, and achieve sustainable development standards. A surface water source is being entered by extending the Mostaqbal Misr Canal with a length of 41 km to supply the project with a capacity of 10 million
Nm3/day to cultivate about 700 thousand additional acres. Treating agricultural wastewater, recycling it, and using it for irrigation are among the biggest challenges in the New Delta Project.
Periodic analyzes are also conducted to measure water salinity to achieve optimal exploitation of agricultural crops.
The Egypt Future Project for Agricultural Production also cooperated with major companies to implement the basic infrastructure of the project at a total cost of 8 billion pounds, which includes paving internal roads with a total length of about 500 kilometers.
And a width of 10 meters, drilling groundwater wells, two power stations with a capacity of 350 megawatts, and an internal electricity network with a length of 200 kilometers, which is being connected to the new delta electricity network. Production supplies stores, administrative and residential buildings.
The project also sought to provide agricultural mechanization with the latest equipment and technologies to complete various agricultural operations with high quality and speed.
The management of the Egypt Future Agricultural Plant Project cooperated with private sector companies, whereby the reclamation and cultivation of an area of 350,000 acres was completed using 2,600 advanced center-pivot irrigation devices, which are cultivated twice a year.
