For this course, the water well must be designed as follows:<br\/>1 \u2013 It gives the highest productivity with the maximum efficiency and the lowest drop in the level.<br\/>2- The behavior is proportional to the pumping station and the characteristics of the bearing layer.<br\/>3 \u2013 It produces good water quality, protected from pollution and free of sand.<br\/>4 &#8211; Maximizing the life of the well in proportion to the cost.<br\/>5 &#8211; The cost is reasonable in the short and long term.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The overall goal of well design is:<\/h3><p>1- Finding a stable, permanent and efficient facility that has enough space to install a pump<br\/>2 &#8211; It allows ground water to move from the aquifer to the well without effort<br\/>3- Free of sand<br\/>4 &#8211; The water must be of the required quantity and quality,<br\/>5 \u2013 It prevents bacterial growth and rotting of materials in the well.<\/p><p>Many things must be taken into consideration when designing a well, such as:<\/p><p>1- The depth of the well.<br\/>2- Type of well.<br\/>3- Filter material, Its size (diameter) and thickness.<br\/>4- Design of water intakes.<br\/>5 \u2013 Composition sealant.<br\/>6 \u2013 Monitoring<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is well casing or well casing:<\/h3><p>The well casing can be defined as a casing of large diameter steel pipes that is assembled and lowered into the newly drilled wellbore.<br\/>This process is considered one of the most important well drilling operations, and making the decision to lower the casing pipes is sometimes considered a decision that greatly determines the success or failure of the drilling process.<br\/>A number of drilling engineers and geologist design the landing points for casing pipes based on the surface data that is known during drilling.<br\/>The type and weight of the drilling fluid required to drill a specific layer are sometimes the deciding factor in choosing the casing drop point.
